For over four hundred years the Zimbelstern has added a touch of brilliance to sacred music.
Nine high pitched solid brass bells ring at random to add a delightful overtone to the voice of the organ.
The New Century Products division of Detant, Inc. has placed thousands of modern Zimbelsterns
over the past fifty years in many famous locations such as the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption
in San Francisco, and the Christian Science "Mother Church" in Boston Massachusetts.
The Glockenstern (on the right) is a much larger version of the Zimbelstern.
The Glockenstern is recommended for large congregations or those who want a prominent bell sound
rather than the delicate voice of the Zimbelstern. The seven bells on the Glockenstern
are four inches tall and lower in pitch than the two inch bells of the Zimbelstern.
